Independent status
Contractors and freelancers engaged by IK Studios act as independent service providers unless a written agreement states otherwise.
They are responsible for their taxes, insurance, tools, compliance, work authorisation, and professional obligations.
Confidentiality and security
Contractors must protect client and IK Studios confidential information, use approved tools, avoid unauthorised sharing, and return or delete materials when requested.
Access to client systems, credentials, repositories, or files must be limited to the assignment and revoked when no longer needed.
Intellectual property assignment
Unless otherwise agreed, work product created for IK Studios or its clients is assigned to IK Studios or the relevant client upon payment, subject to retained pre-existing contractor tools disclosed in writing.
Contractors must not submit plagiarised, unlicensed, infringing, or undisclosed third-party work.
AI and tooling
Contractors may use AI tools only when authorised and appropriate for the confidentiality, licence, and client requirements of the assignment.
Sensitive client material must not be entered into public or unapproved AI tools.
