Our stance
We treat AI as a tool that should help people, not replace their judgement. Where we use AI — in our products and in building them — a human stays in control of decisions that matter.
AI in our products
Vault One includes assistive AI features designed to help you understand and organise your own information. These features are there to support you, not to make financial decisions for you, and they do not provide financial advice.
Where an AI feature processes your data, we aim to limit what is shared and to explain it in the product. Product-specific detail is set out in the Vault One AI Usage & Automation Disclaimer and AI Transparency Policy.
AI in how we work
We use AI-assisted tools in our own development and operations. Output from those tools is reviewed by people before it ships. Using AI to help build the product does not change our responsibility for the result.
What our AI does not do
- It does not make automated decisions about you that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
- It does not provide financial, legal, or tax advice.
- It does not act without your initiation in ways that change your accounts at third parties.
Accuracy & your control
AI can be wrong or incomplete. Treat AI-generated output as a helpful starting point and verify anything important. You stay in control: features that use AI are designed to be understandable, and you decide whether to act on what they suggest.
Changes
As AI capabilities and regulation evolve — including the EU AI Act — we will keep this policy aligned with what we actually do and update it as our use changes.
