How to request deletion

There are two routes. In Vault One, you can delete your account directly from Settings, which requires step-up verification. For anything else — or if you cannot access the app — email support@ikstudios.nl from your account address and ask us to erase your data.

What gets deleted

On account deletion we remove or anonymise the personal data we no longer need, which can include your account identifiers, profile information, and sign-in links. In Vault One, server-side deletion is designed to cancel active subscriptions, revoke sessions and trusted devices, remove sign-in connections, and anonymise your account record.

Device-local data

Because Vault One is device-first, much of your financial data lives on your device. Server-side deletion does not wipe data stored locally on your devices. To remove that, use the in-app data controls or uninstall the app on each device.

What we may keep

We may retain a limited set of records where the law requires it or where we have an overriding need, for example:

  • Invoices and tax records, for the retention period accounting and tax law require.
  • Security and abuse-prevention logs, for a limited period.
  • Records needed to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

These are kept to the minimum necessary and deleted once no longer required, as described in the Data Retention Policy.

How long it takes

We action verified deletion requests without undue delay and within one month, extendable for complex cases as the GDPR allows. Copies in encrypted backups age out with the normal backup cycle.
